The Fondazione Stefano Strata – onlus was established among the family and friends of Stefano Strata in order to keep his memory alive in the spirit of that strong feeling of friendship and solidarity that animated him, especially towards the weak, by sharing the difficulties, and that made him beloved by all who he met and experienced his kindness and generosity of life leaving an example to follow.
Because his life, his ideals and his dreams resist the passage of time and offer others a model of positive values, the Foundation Stefano Strata aims to operate in the social field through the establishment, financing, and participation in charitable, sporting, recreational and cultural activities. It also wants to promote initiatives for scientific research and promote the culture of the arts as a means of education, pedagogic and therapeutic.
Looking back at very succesfull previous editions, with an overwhelming number of participants from all over the world, the Foundation decided to propose the sixth edition of the competion, continuing to pay tribute to Stefano and to provide opportunities for young talents to express themselves in a competition with a great artistical value.
